On Saturday, December 13, take advantage of the extended hours as the shops will be open early, and close late. Enjoy holiday cookies while you check out the specials and sales. In addition, featured in many of the stores will be local artisans showcasing their handmade crafts. This is a great opportunity to see beautiful handmade items and meet the artist. Their unique and one-of-a-kind crafts may be the perfect solution for your gift list.

In the late afternoon, get ready for one of the best musical experiences as you attend “Caroling in the Caverns.” This Christmas concert of area musicians performing seasonal carols in the Majestic Cathedral room is a must attend event which sells out each year. Cavern guides escort you into the large Cathedral Room where the incredible sound of area folk musicians rises out of the semi-dark. The combination of music and Mother Nature’s acoustically perfect Cathedral Room at Blanchard Caverns is “a natural.” One guest described it best, “I was deep in the earth and yet I’ve never felt closer to Heaven.”
